Poppy Seed Challenge-#1

Lisa Johnson is well known for her blog called Poppy Paperie.  She has started a new challenge called Poppy Seed Challenge.  So I decided to go for it!
As you can see from the challenge card above.  Lisa asked that you use crystals, a flower stamp and incorporate light yellow.  I used my new Asian Fusion set along with dark chocolate and rustic cream paper.  I added crystals in my aqua mist flowers and lemon tart ribbon.  I love how the card turned out.  Enjoy!  This was a great challenge and can't wait for more in the future!

Hello

I loved using my epoxy stickers on the flowers to make them stand out.  Not really a pink fan but like how the card turned out.  Enjoy!

Life

This is one of my favorite cards.  I used my Life set from Papertrey Ink.  This card could be used for some many different reasons, so I really appreciate how versatile it can be.

Birthday Wishes

Several weeks ago Papertrey Ink hosted a birthday challenge.  They had several birthday images to use.  I picked the cupcake image and then added my own colors and sentiment.  I love the color combination.

Bind it All

So I have owned a Bind it All for quite some time and I have used it but not enough, so I decided to pull it out and put together a quick project.  I have been wanting to make an envelope system to house my coupons and designated money for certain shopping areas.  First I made the cover and back using cardstock and cardboard.  I stamped a simple title page using Papertrey Stamps.
A blog that I follow, Kelleigh Ratzalff Designs, had an envelope template posted for free couple of months ago.  I downloaded the templated and printed it on several sheets of patterned cardstock.  I then used my scor-pal to finish the edges and they turned out great!  By the way Kelleigh has many awesome tutorials!
Next I made individual labels for the envelopes using my Nestabilities and Papertrey Stamps.  I still need to purchase some magnets to put behind the tag to keep it closed and items secured.
Lastly, I used my Bind it All  to finish the project out.  The project contains 9 envelopes, some I don't think I will use that often, so I put those in the back.  I really like how this project turned out and I see myself using it all of the time.  It is a great place to keep coupons for various stores and even lists since I tend to like a seperate list for each store.  I already have some coupons clipped from this mornings paper and can't wait to use my new creation!  Enjoy!

Thank You

Here is another card using my Through the Trees set.  I love how this turned out.  I used my scor-pal to scor the right side of the card.  I thought it added a nice touch!  Hope you having a great week.

Just Because

I made this cute card on a whim.  I love using the Through the Trees stamp set.  I find it so versatile.  I added some hearts to the tree and on the ground by using Simple Valentine.

CPS-card sketch challenge

Papertrey Ink is celebrating its third anniversary or birthday by having all kinds of creative things happening over the past week and into this week.  I love Papertrey's products, in fact I use them almost exclusively.  Today they have issued a sketch challenge with CPS, so I decided to jump in and give it a try.  I stuck with the Valentine's theme since that day is rapidly approaching.  I usually don't make cards for this holiday, so it was fun to think outside the box and challenge myself.  Enjoy!
All products by Papertrey, Ink unless noted:
Stamps: Everyday Button Bits, Simple Valentine
Paper: Simple Valentine, Pure Poppy, White and Hibiscus

Hugs & Kisses

Today I tried to the emboss resist technique that Nicole from Papertrey Ink encouraged readers to try.  I have to admit that this was my third try.  I am not quite sure what I struggled with so much but each time it did not turn out!  So I am excited that the third time was a charm!  Since Valentine's Day is rapidly approaching, I decided to use a heart theme.  I love how the card turned out as well as challenging myself to try a new technique.  Enjoy:)

Sympathy

Today's card is a sympathy card.  I find that these are the hardest ones to make.  I am never sure about the saying or what picture to include.  Since I purchased my new set Through the Trees, I have found that making this type of card is much easier.  It is hard to notice on the branches but I was able to add some subtle twinkle.  I hope you enjoy it!

Enjoy the Moment

Today I used my Through the Trees Stamp Set.  This is one of my newest sets that was released by Papertrey Ink last month.  I think that this will be one of new go to sets.  Its versatility is amazing.  I used scarlet jewel paper, ribbon and ink along with rustic cream and kraft cardstock.  I love the look it provides.  I hope you enjoy this card as much as I do!
