Skating and a card......

Happy Tuesday!
I hope everyone had a great weekend!
We sure did!
My daughter got to ice skate at Notre Dame this weekend as part of the
 Logan Center's Disability Awareness Week.
She did awesome!
There were only 2,200 people in attendance.
She loved it!  Way to go Abby!

Today's card is to add to my Get Well stack.
Recently, a fellow blog friend pulled out the Iconic Images stamp set.
She inspired me!
Enjoy!

Papertrey Princess Challenge

This month challenge was posted by Diane.
Our challenge is Hawaii themed!
I have not been there is 13 years!
We had a wonderful time when we were there, ahh memories!
For my first card, I opted for felt in bright colors!
I love the tropical feel!
For my second card, I went much simpler.
I used my chevron stamp in the background.
I added some blooms with my sentiment.
Have a fabulous weekend!
Enjoy!!

Thank you....you rock!

So my craft room is a huge mess.
I decided to reorganize, so little stamping is going on this week!
Wow does it feel good to purge!
I did get a couple of cards made for the latest Papertrey Princess challenge and the one for today.
I love black and white.
Anyone that knows me, also knows that I wear a lot of black and brown.
So making a card with just two colors, is fun!
I decided to pull out some much neglected stamp sets and used
Grunge Me and Saying it with Style.
Happy Hump Day!
Enjoy!

Thaks Mom!!

My Mom is such a super star!
I am sure many of you feel the same way about your Moms!
This past week, my Mom stopped by to drop off my new valances.
While I can sew, I can't sew like her.
She made my vision come to life and thanks is not enough for all of her hard work!
So I made her a card.....She loves cards!
She is from Kansas and love the gorgeous sunflowers that grow there every year.
So this was a perfect opportunity to use a much neglected stamp set!
I used Simple Sunflower with terra cotta and summer sunrise ink.
I added some leaves stamped in spring moss.
The sentiment was stamped in terra cotta on rustic cream.
I added my sunflowers to a little bit of patterned paper
all on top of my favorite, canyon clay card stock!
I know my Mom will love it and I hope you do to!
Enjoy!

Weekend....

Wow what a weekend it has been!
This has been one of the first weekends since before Christmas we had nothing going on!
We had workers in the house all last week, so after cleaning up it was time to get some other projects done!
While we here working, there was a constant stream of kids in and out of the house!
The kids have such a blast with their friends!
Today is no different for them!
With all the girls over today and no school tomorrow, we opted to make a few things.
First up was this Cake Batter bark that I found on Pinterest.
Super easy to make and of course delicicous!

Next we made Apple nachos.
We make these all of the time.
My kiddos are huge fruits eaters, so this is a great treat to mix it up a little!

Sometimes we use chocolate, other times we use caramel.
It doesn't really matter, they all get inhaled after playing outside!

Lastly, we made homemade pizza.
Perfect!
Everyone gets their own crust to prepare, so there are no complaints!
Now time to sit back and relax.
The girls are still giggling and the boys went to see Star Wars with their friends...perfect!
Hope you had a great weekend!

Happy 40th Birthday!

Some of my friends are starting to hit the big 40!
Over the weekend another friend hosted a surprise party for her!
For her, this year has been full of surprises, so why not add one more!
The surprise party only added to her more recent surprise of being pregnant with twins!
Now she already has 5 kiddos and her baby just started kindergarten!
Now there must be something in the water over there, since 5 of our friends are pregnant!
Here is my card for her based upon one of the recently posted sketches by Papertrey Ink.
This card was so fun to make and I was so warmly received!
Enjoy!
All products from Papertrey Ink, unless stated otherwise.

Papertrey Ink Challenge- Day 9

 Happy Monday!
Wow what a great weekend, too bad it ended so fast!
Today Papertrey Ink continues its anniversary festivities.
Today' challenge was to create any type of card using butterflies.
I decided to create a simple one layer card using butterflies I stamped using
the Martha Stewart butterfly punch.
I started with a simply chartreuse cad stock base and
punched butterflies from a variety of scraps.
Some simple stamping from Little Bitty Bird and
Wildflower Garden in dark chocolate completed the card.
Enjoy!

PTI Anniversary Day 6

 Happy Friday!
Papertrey Ink is continuing it's anniversary party fun!
Today we were asked to pick a sketch and create a card.
I picked sketch #2.
PTI-Sketch-2
As I was reading Nichole's blog today I fell in love with her Celebrating your Birthday card.
So I used her card as inspiration and cased her idea.
Her is my version of her card and sketch # 2.
I continue to love Canyon Clay, so I used both the ink and the Cardstock.
I stamped Beautiful Booms II on Dear Jane paper and added this to a Kraft cardstock base.
The finishing touches include jute twine, a canyon clay button and tea dye ink on the edges.
Have a great weekend.
Enjoy!

PTI Anniversary Day 5

Day-5-Contest
Today's contest is all about Pinterest.
I love Pinterest....I have found so many great ideas.
If you are looking for crafts, recipes or ideas for anything, Pinterest is the place to go!

This is what I used for my inspiration:
Pinned Image
I love the colors of this kitchen, the design is pretty cool too!
I have a friend who has a green island in her kitchen, it is amazing in person!
Here is my card:
I used simply chartreuse and dark chocolate ink to create my card.
Along with Through the Trees and  Little Argyle.
The sentiment is from one of the Tag It's #5.
The card stock is simply chartreuse and rustic cream.
I added jute twine and a chartreuse button.
Enjoy!

U Rock!

 Happy Wednesday!
I decided to stay with my monochromatic look and use my new Kraft ink.
Yes, I added a little bit of the new paper from PTI but mostly the card is Kraft!
I am so loving how this card turned out!
I hope you do too!

Heartfelt Thanks!

Happy Monday!
The weekend sure went by fast!
We got so much done at home!
Today's card goes to a dear friends that visited last week.
With how busy both of our lives are...it was so great to catch up.
When I am stumped, I always head to my Life stamps.
This time I used Larger than Life.
I used canyon clay ink, twice stamped on canyon clay card stock.
I added a button with some twine.
I love how this card turned out...simple yet perfect!
I know our friends will love it!
Have a great day!
Enjoy!

Heartful Thanks

I have continued to use up my scraps this week.
Today's card continues to use my new stamp set Script Sentiments.
I added some flowers from Flower Fusion and some rhinestones that I colored with copics.
Clean and simple!
Enjoy!
