Easter

Last week was so much fun...makes me want it to be Summer break!
The kiddos and I had so much fun!
We did some sightseeing and ate some great food.
We got ready for Easter by making these yummy creations...
Pinned Image
Coloring eggs using kool-aid...found on Pinterest, of course!
Making our traditional Polish bread and cutout cookies and homemade peanut butter eggs with homemade marshmallow fluff....who knew!  The peanut butter eggs were so divine!
For Easter we traveled to Chicago to see this cute one....

and hangout with cousins....

To bad Tuesday had to roll around!
Back to reality!
Summer break can't come soon enough....only 37 more school days to go!

Craft Projects

Happy Monday!
We had a great weekend, I hope you did as well.
My daughter competed in a skating competition on Sunday and did great!
Plus they had school today, so reality was a little hard after getting home so late last night!
I have been focusing on getting some none paper crafty project done.
Since both of my kiddos are active in sports,
I was looking for a way to display their medals.
Before we moved I had a board with hooks on it in my daughters room,
so I looked for a way to improve upon it.
This is what I came up with....
I painted it her room color, Peacock Blue, and distressed it using Martha Stewart's
metallic paint in black coffee, so much fun to use!
I then added some knobs from Hobby Lobby that I got for half price!
Viola....one completed project!
Here is it with her medals.....I took the picture before she added her ones from yesterday!

Now onto my son....
He has just as many medals but I wanted to do something different for him.
We have lots of spare wood laying around since the renovations continue on our house.
I had my handy husband cut a board to the size I needed and then I spray painted it red.
I add some vinyl from Poppies at Play
I have had it for over a year!
Once I added the vinyl to the board, I again used Martha Stewart's Metallic paint in black coffee.
I used the paint because I actually wanted to dull the bright white of the vinyl.
I absolutely love how it turned out.
Here is the finished project....
and a close up of the vinyl I purchased....
It feels great to have these two projects completed!
Enjoy!

Happy Birthday

Today is such a great day!
Ten years ago my babies came into the world!
Wow what a wild ride it has been.
We are so blessed with sweet and amazing kids.
So now we enter the tween years and continue along this amazing adventure.
Happy Birthday kiddos!  We are so blessed to have you in our lives!
Today I will share my sons card.
My son is a simple, no nonsense kind of kid.
Thus his card is simple and to the point.
Enjoy!
