Sympathy

I continue to enjoy using my new anniversary set from Papertrey Ink.
The set provides just the right look for a sympathy card.
I love the different sizes of the flowers and the ability to create unique looks.
For this card I used simply chartreuse as a card base.
I then stamped the flower stems with simply chartreuse and
the flowers with orange zest and terra cotta on rustic cream.
The sentiments was stamped in terra cotta and I used a matching ribbon.
I am very pleased with this card.  Enjoy!

Happily Ever After

Happy Memorial Day.  I hope everyone has had a relaxing long weekend and
has had some time to spend with family and friends.
THANK YOU to all of the men and women who have served and still serve our wonderful country!

I got my box of goodies on Friday from Papertrey Ink.
I didn't think I would get any time to play this weekend because we had so much going on but low and behold we had some severe storms move through with the tornado sirens going off.
Luckily for us they passed quickly and there was no damaged.
We were so blessed after all of the devastation to the west of us.
However, I took advantage of the time and headed to my craft space.
I am really enjoying the new anniversary set.
I love the style and feel of these stamps.
I paired simply chartreuse with plum pudding both card stock and ink on rustic cream
.I added some plum pudding twill and a button with some twine and I was finished.
I can't wait to use this set again! Enjoy!

Happy Birthday

May is quickly coming to a close and we have a slew of birthdays
to celebrate before the school year ends.
Today's card is cheery birthday card for a friend.

I used Four of a Kind set with simply chartreuse and raspberry fizz ink on rustic white.
The card base is simply chartreuse and I added raspberry fizz bitty boxes.
The bakers twine and glitter on the flowers finish out the card.
I love the look and I know it will be a hit!
Enjoy!

PTI- Blog Hop

It is hard to believe that we are close to the end of May!
The good news is that it is Papertrey Ink blog hop time!
This month the challenge was to use flowers any way that you wanted to.
We don't have many flowers in our yard to gain inspiration from since we are in the middle of huge landscaping project but we still have my treasured Lilac Tree.
So this is where I gained my mojo for this card.
I enjoyed using the muted colors of plum pudding and
simply chartreuse with my Life set to gain to look I was going for.
I added some royal velvet card stock on top of moss green and a small piece of bitty boxes.
Lastly, I added a plum pudding button with matching floss to complete the card.  Enjoy!

Thank You

I decided that I need to use some springy colors to help brighten up the days around here in Northern Indiana. This Spring has been interesting, weather wise, to say the least!
One of these days it will warm up and stay warm!
I used another impression plate and I love the results!  I also turned to Asian Fusion to make my flowers and pot.  I really like the color combination and how this card came together.  Enjoy!

Best Wishes

I finally decided to dust off my impression plates.  I love to use them but usually forget about them since they are tucked away.  I like the texture will set off the body of the card.
I used raspberry fizz on rustic creme on top of dark chocolate.  It is a color combination that I really enjoy.  The touch of green adds the final touch!  Enjoy!

I've been thinking about you

Happy Monday!
What a weekend!  I traveled out of town
with my daughter who took first place in her latest skating competition!
She continues to make us so proud in a sport she loves!

I made this Thinking of You card for a dear friend who is under the weather.
It certainly brings a smile to my face and I know it will to hers.
Hope you week is off to a great start!  Enjoy!

Thank You

A couple of weeks ago the Make It Monday video was to make a frame.  I did make a card but never got around to posting it.  So here it is ....

I used Say it with Style for the sentiment and I really like how it made the frame.  Lastly, I used some felt flowers with rhinestones to complete the card.  Enjoy!

Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day to all of the Moms out there!

I am so blessed to have such a wonderful Mom.
She survived the teenagers with three kiddos and
has turned out to be the best Grandmother ever to her 8 grandchildren!
I am so blessed to live in the same town,
so I get to see her frequently and talk to her even more often!

I am also blessed to have so many friends that are wonderful Moms.
I wish an extra special Mother's Day to my besties in our
Girls Night Out Group... you are the best!

Finally to all of my blog friends...
Happy Mother's Day, it has been such fun to meet each of you!

Here is the card that I made for my Mom.
I can't wait to see her in the morning.  We are having brunch together!
I can't wait to spend the whole day with my kiddos who make being a Mom the best job ever!
I hope everyone has a wonderful day!

Birthday Tag

When it comes to giving birthday gifts, who would not like a cute homemade tag?
I had a bunch of little tags several weeks go and never got around to post them.
This week I have been knee deep in 24 yards of fabric, trying to get curtains made for a friend whose house is in the showcase of homes in our area this weekend!
Now that they are done, I can get back to focusing on other projects!
Enjoy!

Happy Birthday

The Creative Buzz birthday theme continues.  I made this cute girl card using my new Grunge set.  What a great set!  I debated about purchasing it but I am so glad I did.  I think that it will make such fun backgrounds!
I used purple ink on spring moss.  Then I added a chartreuse fillable frame for a punch of color with the purple and white bakers twine behind.  Enjoy!
