Blog Hop for Janelle

Laurie put together a blog hop for Janelle.
I meet Janelle via the internet several years ago when I found her blog.
She has amazing craftiness and always has kind words for everyone.
You can find Janelle's blog here
Here is the card that I made for her.

Janelle I send you lots of love across the miles and pray that the Lord continues to give you and Ken the strength that you need.

Thinking of You

It was time to crack open my new Iconic Images
I think that I have used it once since I received it...so time to get inky!
I wanted a soft look, so I picked moss green and plum pudding.
I made the background using one of the images from Iconic Images.
I added the sentiment and the card came together quickly.
Have a great weekend!  Enjoy!

Thinking of you

Today's card is being sent to a family that is going through a rough time.
I wanted it to be bright and cheery.
So I turned to purples and oranges to make a statement.
I am pleased with how it turned out and I know the recipient will be grateful.
Enjoy!

Thinking of you

Today's card is using one of the challenges that were offered at Stamp a Faire a couple of weeks ago.
The challenge was to use charcoal and raspberry fizz as your colors of choice.
I love this color combination but it is not one that I use frequently, so the challenge was a great opportunity.
I used my Love Birds set along with some texture from my ribbon and the cane impression plate.
Enjoy!

I've been thinking about you

Happy Monday!
What a weekend!  I traveled out of town
with my daughter who took first place in her latest skating competition!
She continues to make us so proud in a sport she loves!

I made this Thinking of You card for a dear friend who is under the weather.
It certainly brings a smile to my face and I know it will to hers.
Hope you week is off to a great start!  Enjoy!

Thinking of You

I hope everyone had a great Easter.  We had such a blast the last three days!  Now back to reality!

Today's card uses the new Turning a New Leaf die that I stamped in ocean tides.  I used Fillable Frames additions to make with sentiment tag.  Enjoy!

December PTI Blog Hop

It is hard to believe that Christmas is over and we are now looking forward to the New Year.
Today it is time for the Papertrey Ink Blog Hop.

This months challenge was to use up your scraps.  Since my scrap bin is overflowing with bits of ribbon, card stock, already die cut pieces, this was a perfect opportunity to use up this stash!  I opted to not make a holiday card but thinking of you.
Using my scraps made this card so easy to make... I need to do this more often!  Enjoy!

All products from Papertrey Ink, unless stated
Paper: ocean tides, rustic cream, library ledger
Stamps: wreath for all seasons, through the trees
Other: ribbon, jute twine, buttons

Thinking of you

I made this card for a dear friend whose husband passed away last week.  I really enjoyed using the simple wreath and then could dress it up how I wanted.  I will definitely use this set a lot!  Enjoy!

Thinking of you

Todays card is for a friend that continues to struggles with cancer.  She was to start her treatment yesterday but was too dehydrated, so hopefully tomorrow.  We dropped off a batch of homemade gatorade that will bring a smile to her face.  Keep fighting... the cancer will not win!

Thinking of You

I made this card this weekend for Cousin Genia.  Genia is my Mother in Law's cousin.  We love her so much. She is in her 80's and in poor health but is a constant inspiration in our lives.  She is not able to write, so I send her cards and pictures on a regular basis.  She loves to show her students all of the pictures.  Genia is a world famous opera singer who sang in Europe for over 25 years.   She continues to teach daily and her students help her in ways that we cannot since we are so far away.  Enjoy the card.

Thinking of You

I pulled out my new Asian Fusion stamp set to make this cute card.  It certainly is appropriate for spring!
