How are you?

 Hello long weekend!
My kids don't have school tomorrow, so we are all about finding something fun to do!
Yesterday it hit 64 degrees and was beautiful.
Today not so much, we barely made it into the 40's!
Todays card was a huge mesh of die cuts.
I decided to pull out many of my favorites and blend them together.
I also used an impression plate and of course twine!
The butterfly is from the new butterfly set at PTI.
The sentiment is from one of the flower fusion sets.
I really like all the Kraft and brown together.
I will have to do this again soon!
Enjoy!

Make it Mondays

This weeks Make it Mondays was masking with dies.
This was a fun challenge for me because while I use my dies frequently, I have not used this technique.
I opted to use my Flower Fusion # die and masked with aqua mist, orange zest and hibiscus.
I added a hibiscus center using a dot from Dot Spots
The background on the flowers was made by using Tin Types in hibiscus.
I used the Flower Fusion #1 stem in simply chartreuse and the sentiment as well (it is in the top right corner, it did not show up well in the picture!)
I distressed the edges and added a ribbon in ripe avocado before adding a strip of patterned paper on my spring rain card base.
I am really please with how this card turned out.  Enjoy!

Challenge #39 ~ Clean and Simple

I am participating in The Paper Players challenge #39.
The challenge is to:
  • use lots of white space
  • use few or no embellishments
  • use few layers
This was a great challenge for me because normally I would add buttons to the flowers or along the ribbon, so it was fun to play along. Enjoy!
