Skating 2

So a while back I made two skating cards to give to my daughter's coaches.
I realized that I only posted one!
I love red and Kraft together and the added detail of the shamrock on the skate!
I have some end of the year cards to post, so here is the final skating one.
Enjoy!

Skating

This time of year is always bitter sweet for us.
This is the time of year that my daughter's skating coaches leave for the summer.
One of her coaches she has had for three years.
Not only did she coach my daughter as a full time student but as a full time law student!
She is set to graduate in 2 weeks and will be set to take her law boards.  Pretty incredible!
We can't thank her enough for her kind spirit and all of her hard work at the rink!
Here is the card I made for her:

He has Risen

Christ has risen.
What a glorious statement!
While we get ready for Easter by making our traditional Polish treats and Pierogs, we remember the reason for the celebration!
We have enjoyed a wonderful couple of days and look forward to family and friends tomorrow.
Happy Easter.

Valentine's Day Caramels

Valentine's Day is tomorrow and we have been getting ready!
The kids still take valentine's in the exchange.  They don't have a party anymore, which is fine by me, but trade with friends.
My daughter decided to do this cute idea that we found on Pinterest using Jr. mints, her favorite!
It is fun and super cute!

Every year I make Valentine's Day caramels.  This recipe is super yummy!
We share with the kid current teachers.
Since we have been in the school for 7 years, former teachers always ask for them!
Since the kiddos are in Jr, High now, we just gave to all of those teachers.
I wrap them individually and then this year I made little brown bags that I found at Hobby Lobby.
The caramels are a huge hit every year!  They certainly don't stay around our house very long!

Lastly, Einstein's Bagels has bagel shaped like hearts.
I couldn't resist.  They only have two flavors, cranberry and chocolate chip, both a hit in our house!

Happy Valentine's Day to you and yours!

Valentine's Day Week

This week is Valentine's Day week.
As usual we have a lot going on but we always make time for Valentines.
Here is a card I made to share.
I love the sweet little birdies.
More projects to come this week!
Enjoy!

Winter....

Mother Nature has hit Northern Indiana with quite the punch this year!
While I don't mind all of the snow since we spend so much time outside
and after all my daughter is a Figure Skater!
However, that being said, the kids have been off of school a lot this year!
Because they are home, there is little time to be crafty.
We spend time playing board games or other things that they like to do!
I do have a few Valentine's Day project planned, so I will see if I can get those done.
But in the meantime, I am spending lots of time with my little family and soaking up every minute that I am home with them.
Here is a little look our view today!
Stay warm!
