Best Wishes

I love Best Wishes cards because you can use them for a variety of occasions.
I whipped up this card to use as a birthday card.
While the card may seem a little nontraditional for a birthday, it allows me to put my own message inside the card.
I used aqua mist as the card base and build it up from there.
I added several layers for texture and love the finished project!
The receiver of this card will absolutely love it!
Enjoy!

PTI Princess Challenge

Today I am sharing my card that I made for the Papertrey Princess Challenge.
Vanessa posted her challenge here: http://saffiresstamping.blogspot.com/2011/08/papertrey-princess-challenge-hot-or.html  and encouraged us to make either a hot or a cold card.
I opted to make a cold card using blue, actually ocean tides.
I decided to use only tone on tone for fun.
It was a challenge but I liked how the card turned out.
Enjoy!

Best Wishes

I finally decided to dust off my impression plates.  I love to use them but usually forget about them since they are tucked away.  I like the texture will set off the body of the card.
I used raspberry fizz on rustic creme on top of dark chocolate.  It is a color combination that I really enjoy.  The touch of green adds the final touch!  Enjoy!

Sending you warm wishes

I have another card today that I made with my Sending You set.  I paired the die cut with royal velvet and matching patterned paper, all on Kraft card stock.  I added some ripe avocado ribbon, button and some distressing ink on the edges.  I really like how this card turned out.  Enjoy!

Did anyone get some new goodies from the PTI release last night?  I can't wait for my box to arrive!

Best Wishes

I decided to conclude the 2010 crafts year with another scrap card.  I love it when I go through my scrap bin and find just the right pieces to go together!  This card was so simple because the die cut was already done and the button already had the jute twine...love that!  I look forward to all the paper crafts to come in 2011!  Happy New Year and best wishes in 2011!  Enjoy!

Best Wishes

I have been busy making cards this week since my card making will need to come to a halt while we move into our temporary home.  I am sure I will be able to get some cards made but my pace will certainly be slower!
This card is made from the set I got at the PTI booth for spending too much money!  Boy I am glad I did!  This set is so fun to use.  I love the versatility of it!  This card is all pure poppy, rustic white and ripe avocado.  It is hard to tell but I used one of my impression plates on the poppy base.  I think it turned out to be a cheery card!  Enjoy!
