Friends.....

I can't believe that it is Friday already...where did the week go?
Way too much going on both on the work front and with the kiddos!
We are enjoying some fresh snow today and a load of weekend activities on the horizon!
Today's card is a tribute to my wonderful friends.
As I stated before, I went away last weekend to scrapbook with friends.
The ladies that accompanied me are some of my favorite people.
We don't get  much crafting done but a lot of talking with no interruptions is priceless!
Here is too my terrific friends!
Have a great weekend!
Enjoy!

Friends....

Today's card is for a dear friend.
I like how friendly the flowers look in this card.
I did use a little glitter to give the flowers a little extra sparkle.
The raspberry fizz card stock and ribbon really make the sentiment and flowers stand out.
I know this cheery card will be a hit!
Have a great weekend!
Enjoy!

PTI- Blog Hop

It is hard to believe that we are close to the end of May!
The good news is that it is Papertrey Ink blog hop time!
This month the challenge was to use flowers any way that you wanted to.
We don't have many flowers in our yard to gain inspiration from since we are in the middle of huge landscaping project but we still have my treasured Lilac Tree.
So this is where I gained my mojo for this card.
I enjoyed using the muted colors of plum pudding and
simply chartreuse with my Life set to gain to look I was going for.
I added some royal velvet card stock on top of moss green and a small piece of bitty boxes.
Lastly, I added a plum pudding button with matching floss to complete the card.  Enjoy!

Wonderful Friend

A simple card in a different color combination that I have not used before.  I like melon berry and ocean tides together, I will have to try this again!  Enjoy!

Papertrey Ink Blog Hop

This months blog hop at Papertrey Ink is all about scallops.  I decided to use a color combination of ocean tides, scarlet jewel and vintage cream.  I used Little Argyle as a background stamp before my layers.  I then used a scallop border with scarlet jewel ribbon.  Lastly, I stamped Friends are the joy of life from Flutterby Friends and added a butterfly.  Simple and clean.  I hope you enjoy it and join in the blog hop fun!

PTI Blog Hop

It is that time of the month for the Papertrey Ink blog hop.
Th challenge this month is to use a PTI stamp set that has not been inked or one that has been collecting dust.
I decided to combine both the PTI blog hop and The Paper Players Challenge 31 together to make my card.  Challenge 31 can be found here: http://thepaperplayers.blogspot.com/2011/01/challenge-31-sketch-challenge.html
Here is the sketch.....

I decided to pull out my Life and Mega Mixed Messages sets.  Both have been collecting dust and have been begging to be used.  I love the simplicity of Life and Mega Mixed Messages always has the right saying I am looking for.  For my card I choose to use Hawaiian Shores and Kraft card stock with my library card die cut out of rustic cream.  I added a bit of Green Boutique paper by using my eyelet lace border die.  I used Hawaiian shores and dark chocolate ink.  The saying "Friends to the end" did not show up very well, especially in the picture, in the Hawaiian shores ink, I think next time I would opt for dark chocolate.  I finished the card by adding a Hawaiian shores button with a little jute twine.  I hope you enjoy my card!

Friend

I am really enjoying this new set the Lisa Johnson designed, Flutterby Friend.  The possibilities with this set are endless.  Be prepared for many cards using this stamp set!  I especially love the little snail that you can color any color you want!  Since I was using an aqua mist card base, I used matching copics.  I used dark chocolate as a contrasting color with rustic cream that was textured using my woodgrain impression plate.  I finished the card off using dark chocolate buttons and some rustic jute twine.  Enjoy!

Friends

I received my new stamp sets in the mail yesterday, so it was fun to break them open and play with them today.  This simple set by Lisa Johnson pacts a punch!  I love how simplistic its designs are but still allow you to add your own color, if desired.  Enjoy!

Friends

Todays card is for a dear family who are moving accross the country.  We are attending their going away party tonight.  It is a bittersweet move for all involved but family is first, so they must go.  They will sorely missed by many people around the Bend.
