Thank You

Thank You cards are one of my most favorite cards to make.
I decided to use several layers to make this card work or me.
I used my doily die and limitless layers to make this work.
I added some extra texture by using the cane impression plate and some twine.
The sentiment is from Think Big.
Enjoy!

Thank You

My daughter competed this weekend in an Ice Skating competition in Indy.
She did a fabulous job taking second place in both of her events.
Before we left, I made a card for her skating coach.
Her coach works so hard with each one of the girls, so she deserves a special recognition!
I started with a pure poppy base and added some black print paper
with black card stock trim.
The stamp is from On Ice and stamped with granite and pure poppy ink
and cut out with the matching die.
The sentiment was stamped in true black with Think Big sentiments.
Enjoy!

Congratulations- Graduation

My niece graduated from High School last night.
We are so proud of her!
She has her next 4 years all mapped out and is excited for her future.
Here is the card I made for her.
Using her favorite colors, allowed me to create just the perfect card for her.
Congratulations Aly...we can't wait to see you!
Enjoy!

Beauty and Joy

Happy Father's Day to all of the wonderful Dads out there!
We had a fabulous day with our Dad!
My card tonight uses the Wildflower set from last months release.
I love the clean and simple style of this set and the punch that it packs.
I used the argyle stamp in the background in purple before stamping the
flower and sentiment in purple and chartreuse on rustic cream.
I added a little twine for texture.
I got my box of June release goodies yesterday and I was able to dig in.
I can't wait to show you the results!
Enjoy!

Skating

Ice Skating for us is a year round sport.
Some months are busier than others, especially this month with a short
session of lessons and a competition the end of the month.
My daughter is spending quite a few hours at the rink and her coach is just such a great lady!
Not only does she dedicate hours each month to my daughter
but to the other girls in the skate club.
The club has an extended practice this afternoon and so we decided to make her a little surprise.
Nothing like a little package of sugar cookie bars to make it through practice!
I love using the On Ice die.  It is so versatile, especially when paired with the stamp set.
I used simply chartreuse card stock and ink.  I stamped the Mat 2 stack with versamark using an image from the new anniversary set.  Enjoy!

Happy Birthday

The rain started today, so it is a great day to be inside and get caught up on everything!
I am curious to hear what goodies everyone purchased in the latest PTI release!
Today's card is a happy birthday card that I made for my cousin in law who just turned 50!
I continue to love to use Through the Trees
It allows me to make more masculine cards which are sometimes a challenge.
Enjoy!

Thank You

Summer has begun and the kids are home from school!
While I love having the kids home, my crafting time starts to decline!
I did get a chance to get in my craft space this morning to make a couple of cards.
The first one uses the anniversary set.
I continue to really enjoy inking this set up!
Today I used summer sunrise with terra cotta.
I really like his color combination.
I used my new impression plate to add some texture, along with some jute twine!
Enjoy!

Teacher Appreciation

The end of the school year is here!
Hard to believe that the year is done.
It seems like we just started school!
The kids have had an unbelievable year.
Not only did the work load drastically increase but so did the responsibility!
I am sad to see it end but so excited to have them home with me this summer!
So in appreciation of our teachers here is one of the three cards that I made.
The first card uses the Teacher's Apple set from Papertrey Ink.
This is one of my most favorite sets!
The color combination is poppy, chartreuse and rustic cream.
I added some ribbon, buttons and distressing along the edges to finish the card.
Here is the sentiment close up.
I ended going back and re-stamping it is ripe avocado so your could read it better.
Thank you to all of the teacher's finishing up their school year! Enjoy!

Friends....

Today's card is for a dear friend.
I like how friendly the flowers look in this card.
I did use a little glitter to give the flowers a little extra sparkle.
The raspberry fizz card stock and ribbon really make the sentiment and flowers stand out.
I know this cheery card will be a hit!
Have a great weekend!
Enjoy!

Happy Birthday

This card uses a combination of the new anniversary set and Wreath for all Seasons.   I kept it clean and simple but love how it turned out.  The ink is a combination of plum pudding and dark chocolate on rustic cream and plum pudding card stock.  Enjoy!
