Skating and a card......

Happy Tuesday!
I hope everyone had a great weekend!
We sure did!
My daughter got to ice skate at Notre Dame this weekend as part of the
 Logan Center's Disability Awareness Week.
She did awesome!
There were only 2,200 people in attendance.
She loved it!  Way to go Abby!

Today's card is to add to my Get Well stack.
Recently, a fellow blog friend pulled out the Iconic Images stamp set.
She inspired me!
Enjoy!

Paper Players Challenge #44

Today I am playing along with the Paper Players Challenge.  Here is the sketch.
This was a fun challenge to play along with.
I tried to use a variety of textures in my card.
Here it is..... Enjoy!

Get Well

Our Dear Cousin Genia who is over 80, recently fell and broke her leg.  She had to have surgery to repair the damage.  So my daughter and I made her get well cards.  We both used the Sending You set with the same technique.  My daughter stamped the background on both and then we each made a card.

First my card: the background is stamped on lemon tart using orange zest, hibiscus and spring moss.  I punched the bottom edge with a Martha Stewart punch and added a strip of orange zest cardstock.  On the strip I added a get well sentiment from Sending You and a button.  It was put on ripe avocado card base.  Enjoy!

My daughter's card:  She used a red card base and stamped with spring rain and simply chartreuse.  She added a strip in spring rain with a decorative edge by Martha Stewart.  Lastly she added a sentiment from Sending You and a button.  Enjoy!
We had a blast crafting yesterday before packing to head out of town for a couple of days to enjoy Spring Break.  We can't wait to see our cousins and spend some time in downtown Chicago enjoying the museum's and the zoo!  We are hoping it will warm up a little bit!
Have a great start to the week!

Get Well

It has been a long time since I have posted.  Life has been crazy due to moving but I am finally ready to get back to making some cards.  Last week my dear friend had her appendix taken out...what a surprise.  Naturally I needed to make the family a meal and of course send a cute card!  I love turning to my everyday buttons set.  The card turned out great and now that my friend is recovering it is a win, win situation!
