Many Thanks

I have really been enjoying my set that I got at CHA, Four of a Kind.  It is so versatile!   I am like the fact that I can cover a small amount of space or the whole card.  For this card, I choose to use just one simple flower.  Enjoy!

Miss you and Hair Clips

Today is the kiddos last day of summer vacation.  The rude awakening of the school bell will ring tomorrow.  We are all ready but so not ready for the routine of it all!  We have had a great summer but we now move forward.  Abby was a little sad today because it was the last day of summer and Dad is out of town and will not be here in the morning, so she wanted to make him a card.  How sweet it really is.  She picked out the paper and the stamps.  I helped guide her into the design but she did most of it!  How fun is that!  Her Dad will be so excited to get a special handwritten note from his special girl!
Here is her card......

When we were done with the card, she still wanted to create, so we decided to make some hairclips using some of Papertrey Ink's  felt and buttons.  I think they turned out pretty cute!  I love her color combinations and her choice of buttons!  Way to go Abby.  It was fun crafting with you today.  Good luck on the first day of 3rd grade tomorrow!  I hope you and your brother have a terrific day!  Enjoy!

You...are in my thoughts

I really enjoy using the All About You set.  I can be creative but still hit the point home.  I find myself going back to this set frequently.  Enjoy!

Best Wishes

I have been busy making cards this week since my card making will need to come to a halt while we move into our temporary home.  I am sure I will be able to get some cards made but my pace will certainly be slower!
This card is made from the set I got at the PTI booth for spending too much money!  Boy I am glad I did!  This set is so fun to use.  I love the versatility of it!  This card is all pure poppy, rustic white and ripe avocado.  It is hard to tell but I used one of my impression plates on the poppy base.  I think it turned out to be a cheery card!  Enjoy!

Sympathy

This week has been hard for the Fitzpatrick family.  They lost their dear Mom on Sunday.  Suzy had an amazing spirit and brought out the best in everyone.  My son had her for Kindergarten and what an amazing teacher she was!  We will miss you terribly Mrs. Fitz.  God Speed.
This is the card that I made for Mrs. Fitz's children.  While words cannot take away their pain, I know they appreciate all of the love that they are getting from everyone.
All products are from Papertrey Ink,unless stated
stamps: flourish, sympathy from Taylored Expressions
ink: ocean tides, dark chocolate, chai
paper: ocean tides, Kraft
other: twine, button, felt

Craft and Hobby Show

On Friday I went to the Craft and Hobby Show (CHA) in Chicago.  It was an interesting experience.  I was able to meet several of the Papertrey Ink design team.  I asked if I could have my pictures taken with Dawn McVey and she obliged!  How sweet she really is.  I was able to meet Michelle (also known as Mish), Debbie Olsen, Heather Nichols and of course, Nicole Heady!  It was so much fun.  I stopped by a couple of other booths as well but man was it crowded!  I did learn some neat tricks on how to use copic markers, so that will be handy in the future.  Now I have to get stamping while I have all of this inspiration!  Packing can wait right?
