A friend of mine asked me to make her a baby card for newborn twins. It sounds easy of enough but I found it difficult to figure out how to include both boy and girl colors without either one of them overwhelming the other. Well I drew my inspiration from the latest blog hop at Papertrey Ink. Erin Lincoln in her latest pod cast talked about inspiration and if you see a card do you copy it exactly or put your own spin on it. I found this topic intriguing because I see so many cards out there I love but do like to add more own spin. So to make a long story short...Crazycurl made this card for the blog hop:

I loved the simplicity of her design and it got me thinking about how I could incorporate parts of her design into my own. This is what I came up with......
Thanks Crazycurl for your inspiration! Enjoy!
Anna great card! Your flowers are great! Love the idea of the pink and blue buttons for centers!
ReplyDeleteAnna! Did you make the wee flowers? They are beautiful (as is your card). If you did make them, are you up for a tutorial? If you make it, I will read.

ReplyDeleteI wish I did make the flowers but I actually bought them from Melissa Brickford about a year ago! I do believe that she had a tutorial but I decided to buy them:) Thanks for your nice comments!
Great incorporation of blue and pink. This is a sweet card.
