Get Well

Our Dear Cousin Genia who is over 80, recently fell and broke her leg.  She had to have surgery to repair the damage.  So my daughter and I made her get well cards.  We both used the Sending You set with the same technique.  My daughter stamped the background on both and then we each made a card.

First my card: the background is stamped on lemon tart using orange zest, hibiscus and spring moss.  I punched the bottom edge with a Martha Stewart punch and added a strip of orange zest cardstock.  On the strip I added a get well sentiment from Sending You and a button.  It was put on ripe avocado card base.  Enjoy!

My daughter's card:  She used a red card base and stamped with spring rain and simply chartreuse.  She added a strip in spring rain with a decorative edge by Martha Stewart.  Lastly she added a sentiment from Sending You and a button.  Enjoy!
We had a blast crafting yesterday before packing to head out of town for a couple of days to enjoy Spring Break.  We can't wait to see our cousins and spend some time in downtown Chicago enjoying the museum's and the zoo!  We are hoping it will warm up a little bit!
Have a great start to the week!

  3. It's wonderful to share your craft with your daughter. Brianna, my 21yo daughter, still mentions things we used to make together way back when. Your daughter did a fine job with the background stamping. I really like how she used the circle for the sentiment and leaves.
    Hope Genia is healing.
