Kindness

Kindness. 

When I think about this word, I realize how kindness can go a long way.

As my Grandmother always said, you get more bees with honey than with vinegar!

I love the sentiment on this card and use it frequently.

I used Fine Linen card stock, on top of a Hawaiian Shores card stock

card base with Kraft and Hawaiian Shores ink.

Adding twine, seems to be a must for me, completed the look I was going for.

Our include two days of soccer in the intense heat and lots of good food and friends!

We can't wait! Plus the bonus of only 5 1/2 days of school left!

Today's card is a thank you card for my parents.

They reupholstered a chair that was my Grandfather's for us!

It looks awesome!

Mother's Day

Yes, Mother's Day was quite a while ago but I never posted the card I made for my Mom.

We celebrated early since they were out of the country on the actual day.

My Mom loves color and I love the tone on tone look, so I created this card for her.

She loved the simple look and I love her, so it was win-win!

Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day to all those Mom's out there!

My blog has been silent for a while for a variety of reasons.

As we start the countdown to school getting out, we are super busy with projects and sports.

I have also been affected by two recent deaths. 

My dear friend lost her niece and the blogging community lost dear, Janelle. 

So this Mother's Day, as always, it is not about material things but my two love bugs that track dirt into the house, whose endless talking makes any day far from dull or quiet and the battles that I sometimes decide to get into the middle of.

Here are the snippets of poetry I received this morning:

My son: My Mom is the best soccer and hockey chaperone.  She loves me like God.

My daughter: She chaperone's me, she is the best Mom ever, she is my Mommy.

Thanks kiddos for being you and making me who I am today!

Happy Mother's Day to my Mom who is halfway around the world with my brother!

Finally, happy Mother's Day to all of my sweet friends.
