Skating 2

So a while back I made two skating cards to give to my daughter's coaches.
I realized that I only posted one!
I love red and Kraft together and the added detail of the shamrock on the skate!
I have some end of the year cards to post, so here is the final skating one.
Enjoy!

Thank you!

I decided to go bright and bold with this card.
As summer comes to a close, I find myself moving towards earth tone colors,
so this is a nice change of pace!
Hope your week is great!

Back from Vacation!

Well after being on the road for the last week, it feels good to be home!
We had a fantastic trip that including a skating competition, my husbands whole family,
a major amusement park, Niagara Falls and so much in between!
It has been a wild ride!
I made this card for my brother and his family who hosted us for multiple days.
Our kids and theirs had such a great time!
So much that we will see them again in just another week!
I love that they are back in the country after 3 years of being away!
Happy Monday and here is to a terrific week!

Teacher Thanks

We are officially into the 3rd day of summer already...seriously it is already going way too fast!
Of course it doesn't help that the kids are super busy!
The second teacher card I made used all the same papers just in a different format.
I love the color combination, especially since it is non traditional!
Have a super weekend!
Enjoy!

Kindness

Kindness.
When I think about this word, I realize how kindness can go a long way.
As my Grandmother always said, you get more bees with honey than with vinegar!
I love the sentiment on this card and use it frequently.
I used Fine Linen card stock, on top of a Hawaiian Shores card stock
card base with Kraft and Hawaiian Shores ink.
Adding twine, seems to be a must for me, completed the look I was going for.
Enjoy!

Thank You and Happy Long Weekend!

Welcome to the long weekend!
Do you have plans?
Our include two days of soccer in the intense heat and lots of good food and friends!
We can't wait! Plus the bonus of only 5 1/2 days of school left!
Today's card is a thank you card for my parents.
They reupholstered a chair that was my Grandfather's for us!
It looks awesome!
Thanks Mom and Dad!
Have a great weekend!

Thank you for your kindness

Happy Tuesday!
Today's card is a thank you card.
I used a combination of pink and green.
I think I was inspired by all of the pink at my friends Thirty-One closeout bash today!
I love the flourish and the butterflies!
Hope you are having a great week!
Enjoy!

Thank you....you rock!

So my craft room is a huge mess.
I decided to reorganize, so little stamping is going on this week!
Wow does it feel good to purge!
I did get a couple of cards made for the latest Papertrey Princess challenge and the one for today.
I love black and white.
Anyone that knows me, also knows that I wear a lot of black and brown.
So making a card with just two colors, is fun!
I decided to pull out some much neglected stamp sets and used
Grunge Me and Saying it with Style.
Happy Hump Day!
Enjoy!

Thaks Mom!!

My Mom is such a super star!
I am sure many of you feel the same way about your Moms!
This past week, my Mom stopped by to drop off my new valances.
While I can sew, I can't sew like her.
She made my vision come to life and thanks is not enough for all of her hard work!
So I made her a card.....She loves cards!
She is from Kansas and love the gorgeous sunflowers that grow there every year.
So this was a perfect opportunity to use a much neglected stamp set!
I used Simple Sunflower with terra cotta and summer sunrise ink.
I added some leaves stamped in spring moss.
The sentiment was stamped in terra cotta on rustic cream.
I added my sunflowers to a little bit of patterned paper
all on top of my favorite, canyon clay card stock!
I know my Mom will love it and I hope you do to!
Enjoy!

Papertrey Ink Challenge- Day 9

 Happy Monday!
Wow what a great weekend, too bad it ended so fast!
Today Papertrey Ink continues its anniversary festivities.
Today' challenge was to create any type of card using butterflies.
I decided to create a simple one layer card using butterflies I stamped using
the Martha Stewart butterfly punch.
I started with a simply chartreuse cad stock base and
punched butterflies from a variety of scraps.
Some simple stamping from Little Bitty Bird and
Wildflower Garden in dark chocolate completed the card.
Enjoy!

PTI Anniversary Day 6

 Happy Friday!
Papertrey Ink is continuing it's anniversary party fun!
Today we were asked to pick a sketch and create a card.
I picked sketch #2.
PTI-Sketch-2
As I was reading Nichole's blog today I fell in love with her Celebrating your Birthday card.
So I used her card as inspiration and cased her idea.
Her is my version of her card and sketch # 2.
I continue to love Canyon Clay, so I used both the ink and the Cardstock.
I stamped Beautiful Booms II on Dear Jane paper and added this to a Kraft cardstock base.
The finishing touches include jute twine, a canyon clay button and tea dye ink on the edges.
Have a great weekend.
Enjoy!

I have continued to use up my scraps this week.

I added some flowers from Flower Fusion and some rhinestones that I colored with copics.
Clean and simple!
Enjoy!

Thank You

Whew...thank goodness it is hump day.
What a crazy week!
Not a whole lot of crafting going on!
I did get a thank card made for one of my many
bosses for the wonderful Christmas present she gave me.
I am loving the new canyon clay color, so here is a great example of it!
I also continue to challenge myself to make cards using one of dies.
The heart die was perfect for this card.
Enjoy!

Thank yous in different styles

Tis' the season for making thank you cards!
I decided to break open my new stamps and paper.
My PTI box came while we were gone, so it was like a Christmas present!
I decided to use the Thank You stamp that PTI generously gave to its customers.
I challenged myself to use the same stamp and the same die cut but in 4 different ways.
I like the results, let m know what you think!  Enjoy!
In Pure Poppy....
 In Raspberry Fizz.....
In Canyon Clay (love this new color!).......
 In Hawaiian Shores.....
Hope you having a great week.
We are having a blast....no school or work!

Make It Monday- Frostd Imags

This weeks Make it Monday at Papertrey Ink looked like fun!
Lisa Johnson showed everyone how to make a frosted image.
I decided on a fall theme since the temperatures are getting cooler and the leaves are changing.
I used Autumn Acorns for the first time!
To frost the images I used dark chocolate on the bottom and terra cotta ink as the top layer.
I love the contrast and how it appears frosted!
So fun.  I will definitely use this technique again.
Enjoy!

Thank you

I loved the red, black and white combo of my last posted card,
so I decided to continue with that theme today.
I  used my large limitless layers to provide some dimension, along with the ribbon and button.
I love the clean look that the black and white provide!
I hope you enjoy!

Merci

I have been trying to do more work with color.
I love it when others that would like cards ask me to do this!
This one incorporate raspberry fizz and simply chartreuse and I love the combination!
Add my favorite Kraft in the background with a little embellishment and I love the results.
I hope you do to!
Enjoy!
