Happy Birthday

Long time, no post!
Life is crazy busy but in a good way!
My niece had a birthday last month and she looks forward to my card every year.
Even though the picture is not the best, I put the green chevron paper on purple cardstock.
No surprise, she loved it and I loved making it for her!
Happy Birthday my sweet Megan!

happybirthday

Hello!
Male birthday cards are not always the easiest to make.
I opted to keep this one super simple.
I love the male colors of olive and kraft!
The button adds the finished touch with a simple message of Happy Birthday!
Enjoy!

Birthdays

Tis the season for birthdays.
The beginning of September starts us off on a journey of numerous birthdays.
First up was my Mom's, however, I forgot to take a picture of her card!
Next up was my brother.
Here is his card.
I love the masculine touches that the argyle stamp allows me.
Plus the color combination makes me happy.
Hope everyone has a terrific weekend!

Happy Birthday!

I hope everyone had a fabulous Easter!
We sure did...more on that later!
We have one more day of Spring Break, so we are busy getting every last second out of it!
We have had such a blast!
Way too many late nights with lots of friends and a little travel!
On April Fools Day my nephew turned 11!
He has the perfect birthday because he is such a  prankster!
We got to see him yesterday.
Here is the card I made for him....

Birthday Wishes {across the miles}

My husbands Great Aunt had a birthday this week.
She is such a dear.
She sang opera in Italy for 25 years before making her way back to the states.
We unfortunately don't get to see her very often but we talked to her all the time.
She is such a delight and she has the most incredible stories!
My daughter just interviewed her for a school project and the story is amazing!
Here is the card I made for her.
She loves butterflies, so this was easy peasy to put together!
I know it will bring a smile to her face across all of the miles!
Happy Birthday Genia...we love you!

Happy 40th Birthday!

Some of my friends are starting to hit the big 40!
Over the weekend another friend hosted a surprise party for her!
For her, this year has been full of surprises, so why not add one more!
The surprise party only added to her more recent surprise of being pregnant with twins!
Now she already has 5 kiddos and her baby just started kindergarten!
Now there must be something in the water over there, since 5 of our friends are pregnant!
Here is my card for her based upon one of the recently posted sketches by Papertrey Ink.
This card was so fun to make and I was so warmly received!
Enjoy!

Happy Birthday and Papertrey Princess Challenge

Time to get back to reality!
I hope everyone had a great long weekend.
We had a whole week of fun, family and eating....made yesterday a rude awakening!
My daughter skated well.
She earned a 2nd and a 3rd place.
This was by far the toughest competition she has been to, so she was thrilled to place!
Great job Abby!!
The birthday fun continues with today's card.
This is also a card for the most recent Papertrey Princess Challenge, posted by BethieJ.
Papertrey Princess Challenge

Hope you have a great week...we are expecting snow, we can't wait!

Here is another one of the birthday cards that I have made this month.
I love the color combo and so will the receipent!
Hard to believe we are already to Sunday night...where has the weekend gone?
We only have 2 days of school and then lots of family time this week,
culminating in my daughter competing in a skating competition on Saturday!
It will be a great week, hope yours is too!

Happy Birthday

This time of year we have a lot of birthdays in our family.
This card is for another niece.
Her birthday is not for a couple of weeks but she lives in China,
so I needed to get it made, so my parents could take it to her!
She is turning 10, like my daughter...oh boy the tween years!
Happy Birthday, sweet Sarah bear!
Enjoy!

Happy Birthday Part 2

A week or so ago I showed you a birthday card for my niece,
well today it is time for her twin brother's card.
Boomer also turned 17 and is finishing up his senior year of high school.
My kids just love Boomer.
Luck for us, we see him quite frequently and
one of his top 3 college choices is right in our back yard, so we may see him more!
Happy Birthday Boomer!
Simple and just his style!  Enjoy!

Happy Birthday Alex!

Late last week my niece turned 17!
Where has the time gone?
She is such a delight, as well as her twin brother.
They are in the midst of college decisions, so they have a lot on their plates!
Alex's loves the color purple...so her card choice was easy!
I know she had a great day!
Enjoy!

It seems like just yesterday she was born!
She is such a delightful girl and we don't get to see her nearly enough!
She loves the colors green and purple, so her card was super easy to envision!

Happy Birthday

A dear friend of mine has her 40th birthday coming up on Sunday.
Yesterday we spent the day traveling via a limo (out of the 99 degree temperatures)
for lunch and wine tasting.
There was a group of 8 ladies and boy did we have a fantastic time!
The best part was the birthday girl was so surprised!
After lunch we had our first tasting and then stopped at two local wineries for a little tasting.
We tasted some great wines but the best part was hanging with a group of 7 other terrific ladies!
This is the card that I made for my dear friend.
She loves the color pink, so it was an easy color palate to choose.
I love the look of Kraft, Dark Chocolate and Raspberry Fizz together.
By using a couple of different dies, I was able to make this wonderful card.
Enjoy!

Happy Birthday

The rain started today, so it is a great day to be inside and get caught up on everything!
I am curious to hear what goodies everyone purchased in the latest PTI release!
Today's card is a happy birthday card that I made for my cousin in law who just turned 50!
I continue to love to use Through the Trees
It allows me to make more masculine cards which are sometimes a challenge.
Enjoy!

Happy Birthday

This card uses a combination of the new anniversary set and Wreath for all Seasons.   I kept it clean and simple but love how it turned out.  The ink is a combination of plum pudding and dark chocolate on rustic cream and plum pudding card stock.  Enjoy!

Happy Birthday

May is quickly coming to a close and we have a slew of birthdays
to celebrate before the school year ends.
Today's card is cheery birthday card for a friend.

I used Four of a Kind set with simply chartreuse and raspberry fizz ink on rustic white.
The card base is simply chartreuse and I added raspberry fizz bitty boxes.
The bakers twine and glitter on the flowers finish out the card.
I love the look and I know it will be a hit!
Enjoy!

Happy Birthday

The Creative Buzz birthday theme continues.  I made this cute girl card using my new Grunge set.  What a great set!  I debated about purchasing it but I am so glad I did.  I think that it will make such fun backgrounds!
I used purple ink on spring moss.  Then I added a chartreuse fillable frame for a punch of color with the purple and white bakers twine behind.  Enjoy!

Happy Birthday

I continue to love to use my Sending You  set.  I love the versatility of it and how I can combine it with other stamp sets.  I used my royal velvet paper for the first time and wow do I like the color and of course the matching ribbon!  I wish PTI had the ink.  I used a purple I had in my stash but it is hard to match the colors. I am really enjoying the royal velvet and ripe avocado colors together! Enjoy!
