Thank You

How much fun was the PTI blog hop?  I love to see others creations and there were so many great cards and other projects that I am so inspired!  Thanks to all that stopped by my blog to leave a comment.  You were all so gracious!
Today, I decided to use my Asian Fusion set.  I love the simple clean lines it leaves.  Plus I can always count on a great saying from Dawn to complete my card!  True to form I used ocean tides one of my favorite colors!  Enjoy!

Papertrey July Blog Hop Challenge

Tonight is the night for the Papertrey Ink blog hop.  It is fun to participate in these hops because there are so many talented stampers out there and I love to see other crafters work!  The challenge this month was to focus on office supplies.  I chose to use a clip and a rubber band on my card.  I also got to use several of my new goodies for the most recent release.   I love the stamp sets Just the Ticket but I had the added bonus of using two of the new dies, the library pocket and the spiral notebook page.  Both of these will gets lots of use!  I hope you enjoy my card!

All products are Papertrey Ink, unless stated
Stamps: all about you, just the ticket
Paper: Kraft, chartreuse, rustic white, dark chocolate, bitty dots
Ink: chartreuse, summer sunrise, poppy, vintage touch chai blend

Baby

My friend that I made my baby thank you cards for has delivered her little one.  Well he is not very little, he was 10.5 pounds and a week early!  I always enjoy using any of Button Bits from Papertrey Ink.  For this card I used the Baby Button Bits.  I love the little bear for boys.  Since the cards will predominately blue, I decided to use aqua mist for my card on top of a Kraft cardstock base.  I used dark chocolate in and button, along with aqua mist ribbon and buttons with a little twine.  The bottom portion is from green boutique.  I love how this card turned out!  Congrats Dana and Carie!

Happy Birthday

My brothers birthday is right around the corner.  I wanted to wait until I got my new Birthday Sentiments from Papertey Ink but I need to get this card in the mail, so I turned to my masculine motifs set.  I like how the card turned out with the masculine colors and design.  Enjoy.

My Inspiration Book

So a couple of days ago I noted that Jen from Jen's Ink Spot posted an inspiration book for all of her stamps.  I was so taken by this because I had been looking for a way to pull all of my information together but just hadn't decided how to do it.  Well here comes Jen with this post http://jensinkspot.blogspot.com/2010/07/my-inspiration-book.html  so off I went to  make my version.  I finished it today and I love it!  I know I can easily add to it and boy will it make my stamping even easier!

I found this fun binder at Office Depot this morning.  It is 1 inch thick.

I divided my items into 5 sections: stamps, holiday stamps, sketches, color combinations and accents.  I printed my information on Papertrey Inks, aqua mist paper.
In my last section, accents, I included my copic marker chart (as you can see I am building my supply!), some lists of the Papertrey Ink paper, buttons and ribbon I have.  This way when it is time to order something, I can see if I have it already.  I know I will be turning to this book a lot in the future.  I am so thankful to Jen for posting her wonderful idea! I hope this will inspire you as well!

Enjoy the ride

This card is perfect for the summer.  We do a lot of biking riding as a family and frequently say "enjoy the ride", so this sentiment fits perfectly!  I used a variety of  Papertrey Ink products in this card.  Spring moss, rustic cream and melon berry paper, along with dark chocolate ink, melon berry buttons.  I textured it with my woodgrain impression plate and made some lines at the bottom with my scor pal.  Enjoy!

Birthday Wishes

Sometimes I just love the simplicity of a card.  This is a good example.  I was able to incorporate some of my favorite colors from Papertrey Ink.  I really enjoy using the Hawaiian shores collection along with aqua mist and spring moss.  I stamped on rustic cream.  This will make a great birthday card for my stash.  Enjoy!

You...make life a beautiful thing

This summery card was fun to make!  I loved using the About You set to make the background paper before I assmebled my card.  The ink is hard to read under the YOU but it says "make life a beautiful think."  Enjoy!

Paper Dolls Challenge #11

This weeks challenge from Paper Dolls was to create a non standard sized card.  Meaning avoid the 5.5 x 4.25.  This is such an easy size to make, so it was nice to think outside the box and see what I could create.  I actually decided to make two cards, both 3 x 6.  I think I found this challenging because you get so used to the standard size that you know how things look.  So making these two cards may have taken a little extra time but I love the results.  The second one is perfect for the 4th tomorrow. Enjoy!

Here is another birthay card to add to my stash.  The lighting was a little off on the picture but you can still see most of it.  I have been using a lot of corkboard lately.  It is so easy to cut out with the PTI dies!  This card has lots of texture and I love the finished look.  Enjoy!
