Hello

Hello!  I love how sweet this card looks this time of year.  Before we know it all of the leaves will be on the ground and we will be bundling up to stay warm.  The Through the Trees  set is by far one of my all time PTI favorite sets.  I find that I go back to this set a lot when I am in a rut or need some inspiration.  Enjoy!

Happy Birthday

Thank you to everyone for their sweet comments on the latest PTI blog hop.  It is so fun to participate and see what creative juices everyone has!
This month continues with another birthday card.  My niece turns 12 tomorrow!  Hard to believe!  She loves green, so I paired it was chartreuse.  I used a couple of new products from Septembers release.  I love the new impression plate and the Fillable Frames #8.  I pair it was "celebrate" and the candle from Piece of Cake.  Happy Birthday Sweet Girl!

PTI September Blog Hop

It is time for the September Papertrey Blog Hop.  I enjoy not only the challenge of the blog hop but being able to visit other PTI blogs.  It is win win all the way around.  This month the challenge was to show off different techniques that you have learned from fellow bloggers.  I really enjoyed this challenge because I have been following this persons blog for about 2 months now after I found it.  I love this persons clean style but I also love fact that she usually has some kind of background going on in her cards.  It could be the use of a background stamp and impression plate or a patterned paper.  This seemed to be a piece that I sometimes lacked in my cards.  So I have challenged myself to try to do this with my cards, so this month challenge was right up my alley.  So the blog I have been following is none other than Laurie over at Soapbox Creations.  I am well aware that she does not know me and also does not know that she has inspired me!  Thanks Laurie for your wonderful creations and for inspiring me!  Check out her blog at  http://soapboxcreations.blogspot.com/

My card today uses Book Print Impression plate on the background of my simply chartreuse paper.  Since we in the full swing of fall, I used autumn paper from Autumn Abundance.  Lastly, I used my Four of a Kind set that I got at CHA.  I hope you enjoy the card.

All products are from Papertrey Ink, unless stated:
Stamps: Four of a Kind
Paper: Orange Zest, Simply Chartreuse, Autumn Adundance
Ink: Simply Chartreuse, Orange Zest, Chai
Other: Book Print Impression Plate, Jute Twine, Buttons, Ribbon

Birthday Wishes

From September to December, we have a lot of birthdays in our family.  So I have been making birthday cards to have on hand for when I am busy and can't make a card.  I love how this one turned out since I used my flourish stamp set. I really like the background that it makes.  Enjoy!

Birthday Wishes

This simple card provides some of my favorite colors.  I really enjoy putting spring moss together with dark chocolate and summer sunrise.  I love how this card turned out and it will provide birthday wishes for a sweet friend.  Enjoy!

Paperdolls Challenge #22-CAS

With this card, I am participating in the Paperdolls Challenge.

This challenge was to create a card in the clean and simple style, use white space with a pop of color.  I thought that this card would be easy for me because I usually make cards in the clean and simple style but with so much white space, I have to admit that I struggled a bit.

I knew I wanted to do something for fall with the colors but actually coming up with the design took me a while.  I am so glad I challenged myself to look at the white space as a positive!  I love the look and will have to do this again in the future!

Enjoy!
All products from Papertrey Ink, unless stated:

Get Well

It has been a long time since I have posted.  Life has been crazy due to moving but I am finally ready to get back to making some cards.  Last week my dear friend had her appendix taken out...what a surprise.  Naturally I needed to make the family a meal and of course send a cute card!  I love turning to my everyday buttons set.  The card turned out great and now that my friend is recovering it is a win, win situation!
